TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

The Broker - What It Is

TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection is relevant. It suggests the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is preferable to a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That should be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Regulation

Here is the part that matters. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should factor into your assessment.

What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual sign-up bonus. You fund your account, they credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
